June 2010

My name is Samantha Strange and I am 7 years old. I have been dancing at the dance academy since I was 3. My favourite genre is Ballet as I love all the graceful moves. I recently took part in the Burghfield Dance Festival where I came second in my group. I also took part in the Anvil show last year and look forward to taking part again next year.

July/August 2010

My name is Zoe Bromilow I am 9 years of   age and I have been dancing since I was  three years old. I really enjoy dancing every week and it has been a great experience to dance in the medal tests and festival. I was also very proud to have danced in the show  to raise money for Emma. I like all types of dancing, jazz, tap and ballet and my dream is to be a dancer when I am older, it would be an amazing opportunity to fulfil that dream but I know I need to work really hard first for this to happen. I feel honoured and very happy to have been awarded dancer of the month, thank you.

September 2010

My name is Marimar Hunt-Ruiz I am 10 years of age and I started dancing ballet when I was 3 years old. This year was the first time that I competed in the Medal Test and I passed with honours therefore this is a great achievement for me. I am working very hard on my routines for the October Medal Test. I can’t wait!

Also it was a great experience dancing in the Burghfield Festival as we competed against other dance schools. It was so nerve-racking, but when I got on the stage and started dancing I forgot about everything happening around me, it was so magical!   I am really looking forward to the Anvil in 2011.

November 2010

My name is Lauren Dennison, I am 9 years old and have been dancing for the last five years. Dancing is what I have always enjoyed doing and at every opportunity I feel like dancing.

I have really enjoyed the festivals I have taken part in, as well as the recent medal tests where I got two distinctions for Bronze Medal Modern Jazz & Bronze Medal Tap.  Both myself and family were very proud of my achievements. I am really looking forward to the practicing for the festivals next year.

My dream is to be a Dancer when I am older, with lots of hard work and dedication I hope to get there.
