“I started dancing when I was 3 and a half.  I enjoy dancing because it gives me more health and energy, it makes me happy.  Now I can nearly do the splits,  I will do better if I practise more.  I have already passed Primary Tap, Primary Classical Ballet, Primary Modern Jazz. I found it easy because you just need to stretch and concentrate on it. The judges said I was very good at all of them.

Now the favourite part of dancing for me is that we are going to the Anvil to show our performance, and it's the first time I will be there. I wish all of us will do our best to make the show great.  I still remember when I first started dancing, I thought the dance is hard , but now I feel it is just easy to do every one of the movements.”

Eleanor McDevitt

“I am 10 years of age and have been dancing at the Lynden School of Dance for 8 years, since I was 2 ½ years old. I have performed at The Anvil (twice), The Haymarket, Her Majesty's Theatre and Sadler's Wells. I love dancing and am always leaping around the kitchen! Last year, I watched Irish Dancing in Donegal and joined in! I enjoy music, playing the clarinet in a band and orchestra. I am singing at the O2 in Young Voices. I love being part of Lynden, making friends and having exciting opportunities.”

Ellie McCann

"Hi. I am 9 years old and I have been dancing for six years.  I really enjoy dancing because it's fun and exciting to learn new dances. Dancing is my most favourite thing to do - I practice all the time at home. It has brought me many brilliant experiences like taking part in competitions and performing on stage on my own and as part of a team. This has made me more confident and helped make me lots of friends. Dancing is so rewarding! I'm proud of all my medals I have won as I have worked so hard for them and of being chosen to be part of the Elite Squad - a real honour."

Samantha Strange

"I am 8 years old. I am looking forward to The Anvil show in July. My favourite type of dance is ballet. When I am older I wish to be a famous ballet dancer and I will keep practicing in the hope to achieve that goal. I have participated in 3 medal tests and I have achieved 3 bronzes, 3 silvers and 1 gold with distinctions and honours."

Katie Smith

"I am seven years old. I have been dancing since I was five.  I enjoy dancing because it has given me confidence.  My dancing keeps me fit.  I enjoy jazz the best because I love the dance moves.  I have made some great friends at dance classes."

Gabriela Della-Savina

“I am 6 years old and have been dancing for almost 3 years. I love dancing especially now I am taking part in the show because it gives me confidence. It is a lot of fun when we do lively dances together! I love it when we learn new dance routines.”

Megan Kelly

“I am 10 years old.  I started a Lynden School of Dance last September after moving from Cheshire. At my last dance school I took 3 ballet exams and took part in a show which was lots of fun. Before I left my last dance school I was awarded dancer of the month.  My favourite type of dance is ballet and I love to watch Darcy Bussell perform.  I am looking forward to carrying on dancing at this school.”

I love performing shows when all my family come to watch me, my favourite performances were Spooky Scary Skeletons, The Bare Necessities and Ghostbusters.”
